Under supervision of IT management, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications across multiple platforms and technology environments for enterprise clients. Analyze user and business requirements; translate requirements into functional software designs and technical specifications.
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code in applicable programming languages. Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression test plans. Participate in peer code reviews; apply SDLC best practices throughout the development cycle. Debug and resolve application defects; support deployment and post-deployment activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, infrastructure, and client stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery. Prepare technical and user-facing documentation. Maintain and enhance existing systems as needed. Technologies may include: AS/400, ILE RPG, COBOL, SQL, Java, .NET, C#, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, relational databases (MS SQL Server, DB2, MS Access), MS Office tools, and enterprise platforms as assigned. May perform some or all of the above tasks depending on scope of each project assignment. Work involves travel and/or relocation to various unanticipated client sites across the USA.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, any Engineering or Technology field, or a closely related field; and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in software development and the full SDLC, including a minimum of 2 years in the specific technologies identified above.
